California HS Football - Are they playing this year?

I've read that Oregon intends to play a shortened season, beginning in February. Does anybody know what the deal is with California? Scouting is going to incredibly hard/imprecise for 2022 if they don't have a season. Anyone know what Washington state is doing, as well?

I believe they intended to play in the spring but with how bad things are down there, it may not happen.

Gavin Newsom won't even let folks eat outside. I think there is like a 1% chance they play

The schools down in LA were planning to start bringing kids back in waves by age, but it’s been pushed back a few weeks. Not sure yet on when the high school kids will get back.

While it’s an LA unified school district thing, many schools throughout the state play copycat with LAUSD, and have delayed bringing students back. It’s all murky at the moment.
