Wow Mops... you're getting into the whole interviewing thing more now. Good stuff! You should contact Rob Moseley at some point. He may have an additional source you could pick at.

Great article, thanks Mops! Being a star sprinter, I thought that Grant would be interested in the U0 track program. Another reason to love the Ducks!

Notice the plane that we flew on?

"Ethan Grant, a 5′10 175 pound running back with blazing speed that’s been clocked as fast as 4.2 in the forty yard dash."
Wow! A 4.2 forty is insanely fast!

Nice work! The anticipation to see this guy on the field is killing me. I wish that he was here this year. Chip Kelly is going to get this kid some highlights on ESPN every week.

Great stuff mops..nice job tracking down these recruits and getting the interview!
Did you ask about his recruitment and what happens when the elite programs in the nation come calling? I would be interested to hearing what he had to say...
Also did you ask about the other athletes he might be recruiting to The O?
Good stuff as always!

Keep in mind that the 4.2 was electronically timed not hand-timed. It's legit speed!

Rashad Bauman was said to have mid 4.2 times. He's the only guy I can think of on the football team in the last 10 years that had that fast of a .40 time. Some guys we've had have been fast sprinters at larger distances (Parker, Kent in 200+ meter sprints, Holland, etc.) 40 times this fast are rare.

I think Ryan Gilliam was one of the fastest guys we've had also. Although he didn't last lol.Destroyer77 wrote:Rashad Bauman was said to have mid 4.2 times. He's been timed at 4.3 in the forty and runs the 100 meters in 10.65. (According to rivals.com)

I am really excited about this young man. I think he will not only do well for us but he will help open the pipeline to Florida. I thought we may have opened it with Gilliam a few years ago but he transfered out to soon. There is so much speed in that state and with our offense we would be practically unbeatable with that kind of speed and talent. Calif, Florida, Texas are the big three for recruiting talent and we seem to do well in Calif. If we could hit in Florida or Texas we would see a lot more 4 and 5 star athletes coming our way. Just my observation.

I'm excited as well. Thinking about we block on the O-line and how fast he will hit those seams that open up he will be in the secondary before the linebackers can think. They're going to need swivels on their necks. Speed Kills!

That's one 40 time I believe, remember at Wisconsin he ran down the big 10 100m champ, Bennett was his name if I remember right. MB talked about that for a while when talking about Bauman.
