It sure would have been nice to keep him in-state but sometimes they want to leave the state. Not really sure who else they're targeting at TE since it seems he was their main target. They can't really afford to not get TEs in consecutive classes.

This actually could potentially be good news for the Ducks. He's likely committing to Miami, and mentioned wanting to try moving out of state. He could go to IMG for the next 4-5 months and realize he doesn't want to be that far from family. I think it at least increases their odds slightly of an eventual flip. Not banking on it, but wouldn't entirely rule it out.

Agree with your reasoning. CMC has been recruiting him for a long time while at Oregon. Seems like he has a much stronger bond with that staff than our new one...
