Dylan Williams: July 7
Kamar Mothudi: July 11
Preston Taumua: July 16

Oregon is pretty heavy favorite for all 3. We are 2 for 2 with other July announcements in McRoy and Riggs.

Elijah Rushing would be a HUGE addition to this class! As great as this class has been I think the best is yet to come.

Sounds like Rushing is trending towards Arizona now after supposedly getting a big-time NIL deal from them.

NIL is the new recruiting scapegoat. Losing a top priority recruit to a bottom feeder like Arizona is bad, and NIL is way too convenient of an excuse.

Well, there's 3 main reasons why a kid would suddenly change his mind in a situation like that. He really does like the school, parents, or money. I'm sure there's plenty of others, but those are the main ones. If I had to guess, money would likely be the case, since Oregon was originally the front runner.

I'm sure there's plenty of others, but those are the main ones. If I had to guess, money would likely be the case, since Oregon was originally the front runner.

AND maybe the fact that his brother is there and he wants to play with him. There's lots of reasons why these kids flip and most often we don't really know.

As much as he's seemed interested in Oregon this whole recruiting cycle, it wouldn't surprise me if we continue to recruit him until the letter is signed. Maybe a signing day flip?

That’s essentially my point. Any time we miss on a recruit we really wanted the narrative is always that we could’ve had them, we just didn’t want to pay what they were asking. Which was believable the first few times but it’s become the explanation every time.

Tennessee giving Nico $8 mil was one thing but Arizona? The same people saying we have one of the best NIL collectives in the country are telling us that when it comes down to it, we just can’t get together enough money to match… Arizona.

All I’m asking is for the “insiders” to just admit when we get beat for a kid instead of pumping sunshine.

Especially for a top target like Elijah Rushing. This isn’t a target we just kinda want, this might be the top target of the recruiting class for these coaches, so if they really want him they’d do everything to get him. I have a hard time imagining Oregon not willing to give a good NIL deal someone as highly ranked as Rushing while Arizona is.
