This is what I was trying to say.
It also would be fun to play a team we haven't already.

Yeah, that's the main reason I want the Vols. And they have some chops, I think, to be called a blueblood school, though that's probably arguable.UOducksTK1 wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2024 4:13 pmThis is what I was trying to say.![]()

I want to see OSU and UTA go down as the hubris of both schools is off the charts

Don’t really care who wins as long as it is extremely physical and close. If I had to lean one way or the other with who I want to win I’d go with Tenn.

I'm rooting for Ohio State, only because of like to see every SEC school lose in the first round

I'm rooting for pain, followed by another pepper spray doused melee resulting in multiple suspensions.
I have adopted a scorched earth policy when it comes to my rooting. These mother f'ers sabotaging (intentional or not) the Ducks' chances at a Natty leaves no room for empathy.

I am rooting for Tennessee because of the spitting incident. Sure to be a topic discussed in the OSU locker room if they end up playing UO. Holden may have some nerves running patterns in the middle of the field.

This could easily go either way. They both have 2 losses, one vs a great team (UT lost to Georgia) and OSU (lost to Oregon), while UT was upset at Arkansas 19-14 and OSU to Michigan at home 13-10.rsbgduck wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 5:27 pm Don’t really care who wins as long as it is extremely physical and close. Most analysts are saying the key matchup in this game is the Ohio State O-Line vs the Tennessee D-Line. UTs D-Line are studs, including one who's a likely top-15 pick in the NFL Draft. Ohio State has a makeshift O-Line that's been ravaged by injuries all year. If they can't establish some kind of running game, or protect Will Howard, it could be a long day for the Buckeyes.
On the other hand, as good as Tennessee has been in their non-conference games, they've been inconsistent in some SEC games.
I think that if it comes down to a case of tough vs tough, Tennessee would have a slight advantage due to the SEC schedule they played.

Ohio State had to play Oregon, Penn State, Indiana, and Iowa. Nobody in the SEC had that hard of a schedule, except maybe Florida.SuperDuck wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 4:04 pm

Actually, after looking at Tennessee's schedule again, I stand corrected. You're right.Phalanx wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 7:55 pmOhio State had to play Oregon, Penn State, Indiana, and Iowa. Nobody in the SEC had that hard of a schedule, except maybe Florida.SuperDuck wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 4:04 pm
