Re: 5 star QB Jared Curtis down to Georgia and Oregon
I suppose the hardcore truth about QBs in the 2 programs boils down to this, respective of any NIL offers:
UGA gives you a better chance of winning it all.
Oregon gives you a better chance of becoming an NFL QB.
UGA gives you a better chance of winning it all.
Oregon gives you a better chance of becoming an NFL QB.

Does Georgia give you a better chance of winning it all though? Sure, they DID, but do they now, or in the near future?Duck07 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:37 am I suppose the hardcore truth about QBs in the 2 programs boils down to this, respective of any NIL offers:

Schools like Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, still have a better chance of winning it all due to various factors. However, with recent changes to the College football landscape, NIL, etc., the gap between that top group and the next best group of teams to win it all (Oregon, Texas, ND, Michigan, etc.) has diminished dramatically. It feels that gap will become even closer in the near future, unless there are some big changes.squintsdd wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 2:06 pmDoes Georgia give you a better chance of winning it all though? Just like QB11's sarcasm, I wouldn't put too much stock into the car or its color since Oregon will be very competitive with UGA for him and UGA has done at least one new offer to 2026 QBs.

Curtis is on campus with his parents. Sounds like Curtis is a Ducks lean, but parents are a Georgia lean. Hopefully Lanning and staff can work their magic with the parents!

From what I've read, it sounds like Georgia may be picking up momentum. Ready to be disappointed.

Do we ever have recruits who want to go elsewhere but their parents or girlfriends make them go to Oregon?

Feels like if they miss on Curtis, they're going to turn all their attention to Ryder Lyons even though he won't show up until 2027 due to his LDS mission. That probably means they'd try getting a 2nd QB like Brady Smigiel or another committed 4* QB.

Still down to Oregon/Georgia for his Monday decision. Georgia has been trending last few weeks, but sounds like Oregon ain't out of it. I wouldn't place my bets for the Ducks, but there's a chance.
