Re: Miami Article update Brown
Brian Butler, mentor for UM oral commitment Bryce Brown (the nation's top high school running back) said Butler won't sign anywhere until at least March; he also is considering Tennessee, Kansas State, Auburn and Southern California; and he wants to learn about UM's new offensive coordinator. Butler said his website will charge $9.99 monthly for Brown updates. Signing day is Feb. 4.
That sucks. We have to wait until March. One of those other schools might come in and get him. We need Boyd to commit to increase our chances.

It looks like Butler is trying to ride the gravy train as long as possible... $9.99 for monthly Brown updates... Come on now.

What a sad situation this is becoming, hopefully people don't actually pay for this info for just one recruit I don't care how special he is... Really sad.. IMO

Interesting that the article doesn't say he is considering Oregon though they are outside of Miami the front runner!

Elsewhere in the paper.....
"As for the Bryce Brown drama, I was told by a staffer tonight the Hurricanes fully expect Brown to sign with UM on national signing day. But he has expressed interest to the coaching staff about knowing who the offensive coordinator will be. Brown could take a visit to UM on the weekend of the 30th too."

I bet not another word comes out about Brown except from that site...no more interviews no more nothing...And that's while they'll wait til after signing day to make as much money as possible and then he'll go to Miami like he has planned to all along

Smells like someone is trying to make as much money as possible off of one decision. I also like how Butler mentioned that all of those new schools have a chance, more people wanting to know if Browns wanting to join there favorite school means more money.

Re: Miami Article update Brown
This doesn't seem legal for a "mentor" and a high school kid to make money off of information on which school he is going to decide to go to. Even if it is legal it shows poor character in my judgement.

This is actually worse than T Pryor. Pryor couldn't make up his mind. Brown is trying to make money off his decision. I've really lost some respect for the Browns

I don't know if this is so much Brown's idea or his supposed DS mentor trying to live out his 15 min. I would bet Brown can't make a Pennie off this site if he wants to be eligible to play in the NCAA.

I second that, at least Pryor's decision was delayed because of commitments to his basketball team. This just seams dirty and wrong.Tray Dub wrote:This is actually worse than T Pryor.
