And ASU wouldn't be a surprise...with this BB situation you'd figure we have a better shot to change CM's mind now though!

Even if we don't get BB, there are an abundance of talented running backs for next years class who seem interested in us. We already have Ethan Grant, but I could see guys like Malcolm Jones, James McConico, or hopefully Michael Dyer or Seastrunk taking a serious look at us.

I agree if we don't get Brown, which we probably won't, we should get in addition to Grant, one or two more 4-5* RB's for the 2010 class. With Blount, LMJ, Alston and Crenshaw we are good for this coming season at RB!

Most definitely this opens the door for Malcom Jones. I REALLY want him, he started the state championship game here in CA for Oaks Christian as a freshman at CB! Returned a pick for a TD at , he is amazing as a RB also and would be a huge pickup to complement Grant. That same team had some names you may be familiar with...Jimmy Clausen, Marc Tyler, Marshall Jones and Ducks Casey Matthews and Anthony Gildon, plus like 4 more D1 seniors and he still started. Only problem will be his brother plays, but doesn't get any time, at USC (Sound familiar, Bryce "pay me for updates even though I'm going to Miami" Brown?) and USC will be losing Johnson, Gable and most likely McKnight so if they miss on Seastrunk, then they will go after Jones hard. But I think Oregon could have a shot!

It seems like Oregon doesn't like to keep a lot of RBs on the team considering how much they run. Only 4 RBs on a team that is heavily reliant on the running attack. You have to wonder what Oregon would do if they suffered a sudden rash of injuries. I think that Oregon should keep about 5-6 RBs not just 4 on the roster at any one time.

Harper could also be used if needed.

And let's not forget that Masoli runs a lot of the time as well.

The current numbers at running back are not by choice. Like at other positions, the Ducks aren't always able to land all the players they want. The Ducks are definitely thinner at running back at the moment than they would like to be, which is why they are still recruiting running backs.

The durability of James is a question mark right now, plus he is recovering from a shoulder injury. Alston is recovering from an injury. Crenshaw isn't a difference maker. If Blount were to miss any time next season, the running back position would be very shaky. If the Ducks are able to land some good receivers in this recruiting class, maybe Harper really will be moved to RB full-time.

Maybe he did, but where is the link? This isn't on scout or rivals.

Well, it looks like another one off the board. At least we have Grant on board for next year, so I don't see this as a huge loss.
