It's a shame we didn't win the tiebreaker over Stanford. Playing ASU in the first round would have been a much better scenario for us.

We will probably win this game, but then lose to Cal and the season will be over.

If we win and then lose to Cal, I could possibly see Oregon getting a CBI bid, but I'm not sure if the AD would accept since they would probably want the coaching search done as soon as possible.duckgrad99 wrote:We will probably win this game, but then lose to Cal and the season will be over.

Yeah, and I don't think we deserve any postseason. Personally, I don't view making the NIT or CBI as successful anyway.

The only good thing about those tournaments is that it allows more time for the team to be together and get extra game experience before next season.duckgrad99 wrote:greenyellow wrote:If we win and then lose to Cal, I could possibly see Oregon getting a CBI bid, but I'm not sure if the AD would accept since they would probably want the coaching search done as soon as possible.duckgrad99 wrote:We will probably win this game, but then lose to Cal and the season will be over.

One thing to consider...
The coaching search will not move very fast until prospective candidates are also through for the season... Guys like Mark Few and Jaime Dixon are going to be very busy coaching in upcoming tournaments already.
We, as Duck fans, may be in a hurry, but doing this right takes a certain amount of time.

I'm glad we didn't win that tiebreaker with Stanford. We couldn't beat Arizona State if we played them fifteen times. At least now we might be able to beat WSU on Wednesday before losing to Cal on Thursday, meaning we'll finish .500.
As for the postseason, the Guard or the Oregonian said that Oregon's filed paperwork to host an NIT game. Obviously that doesn't mean we'll get in the NIT, but UO is trying to get in. I doubt the university pays $60,000 to buy its way into the CBI, though.

As Oregon fans, no matter how good or bad, we should all be rooting for the team to win. It doesn't matter if you don't like Kent, you support the team in its game, not drop off like bandwagon fans.brich75 wrote:It would be great to see Ernie go out on top! On another note--I wish they would rotate this tournament every now and then. Not necessarily at every school, but each state has NBA quality arena's and big cities that can host something like this easily. It's not like they're selling out all these games in L.A.

I wish they would too, but you know that will never happen. I don't think that there's ever been a sell-out at the tournament, mainly because it's in LA, where there are lots of other things to do besides a couple of BB games between teams not from the area.bellsduck wrote:Exactly!greenyellow wrote:As Oregon fans, no matter how good or bad, we should all be rooting for the team to win. Re: Oregon vs Washington State (Wednesday 8 pm)
I haven't watched an Oregon game for a few weeks... Now I'm remembering why. The inability to see Dunigan down low makes me cry. He's open most the time off the pick and roll. The two times we gave it to him he scored. I know he got stuffed twice before that, but whatever. Keep feeding it down low.
Btw Wazzu is awful. That's like 8 turnovers in their last 10 possessions..
