Hearing that he's going to commit to ASU now tomorrow. Big steal for Fightin' Erickson's if they do indeed sway him away from USC.

Very shady grade issues for Burfict..... He is only considering ASU because he thinks they may be able to get him into school, since they got in his teammates from last year Ryan Bass and Shelly Lyons, both had troubles of their own.

I'd rather see him go to ASU than U$C. 8-)

Not really. I'd rather have all the talent at USC. You don't want ASU recruiting to start getting hot.

Hmmmm, that is actually a really good debate. Weakening USC a tad at the cost of stregthening ASU a tad. Not sure which is the lesser of the two evils. I actually think any chinck in SC's armor is good for us even at the expense of a talent like that added to ASU's roster. I think we can still handle ASU, but gives us a touch better shot of taking down Goliath.

I'd rather have him go to USC because he won't get buried in the depth chart at ASU.

You sort of have to like that USC stacks its depth charts with all of these players. If they weren't buried on USC's depth then they we would probably be having to face them with another team in the Pac-10. Look at USC's RBs, any one of them could be starting at any other school, but with all of them at USC, you only have to face them once a year. Same would go for all the other positions. If Burflict were to go to ASU, the Ducks would face good talent in 2 games instead of only 1 is he went to USC. Stacking the talent at USC means you may not beat them very often, but it means the other teams are going to be slightly weaker and easier to beat. Balancing out the talent actually wouldn't actually help Oregon all that much.

ASU and DE can't figure out or O so I don't care how good the players are they get we will still own them. Also has anyone else noticed how Aliotti seems to have the ASU O figured out.

Hopefully it can stay that way. DE will be only be there at most another 5 years so that's how long we have to worry about ASU. I think that once he leaves, they'll be a middling Pac-10 team unless they can find themselves a good coach that actually gives a damn about that program.

If he does go to ASU, let's hope it sparks a trend of 4-5 star SoCal players not choosing USC, but other Pac-10 schools, because they realize USC is not a good fit, and isn't for a lot of players. Moody, Hazelton come to recent memory. Yes, they may guarantee playing time to the best on the field, but what happens if you are slow to grasp the offense or aren't producing on D and the latest 5 star is recruited under you already? USC doesn't care about your playing time any more, which is why I think USC is a bad choice if you really want to make an impact on a team as a 5 star. I mean, 3 5 star RB's shared the ball this season at RB, but none of them really stood out because the coaches had to please everyone else. Depth should be more of an issue at USC, and they shouldn't be able to pull so many 5 stars, but somehow they get away with it because they promise the best players will play, even though it's extremely misleading for the majority of recruits that come in. USC is an overrated choice for a ton of players IMO, unless they just want to make the NFL, then that is a great choice because even if they don't play they will still get drafted.
