Found on Moseley's Blog. Great read for those that are "star-struck".

I hope that all of the negative posters take the time to read this article. Our coaches are only let's say a million times better at evaluating talent yet anytime a recruit isn't at least a 3 star we have to listen to how stupid our coaching staff is and how could we have offered a player that isn't rated higher. Come on guys if you were good at evaluating talent you wouldn't be posting on this forum........Go Ducks!

Of course a 5 star isn't guaranteed to be great, and a 2 star can become an all-american, but it's unlikely. It is much better to get 5 stars than 2 stars. That doesn't mean we should bitch every time we get a 2 star, but it's just not true that recruiting rankings don't matter.
