Pretty eye-opening story on Butler; he seems like a total crook. Let's hope Bryce Brown can think for himself.

"Butler said he has made less than $200 selling the online recruiting subscriptions."
Does that mean he actually found 20 subscribers?

Rumors from DSN is the Miami rivals insider told the DSN insider that he doubts Brown is going to Miami. I am not a member of DSN so I did not get premium content here, FTR.

This could actually help our chances...
If Brown goes to Miami, it will make Butlers entire operation look like a fraudulent scam - which it is.
The New York Times really blew the lid off of this one, props to them.

What kind of bonehead would 'advise' a kid to go directly to the Canadian Football League?
What kind of parent would pay for that kind of advice?
Enquiring minds want to know!

Re: Butler NY Times Article
This fiasco is an absolute disgrace.
Now that Prince it out of the picture at Kansas State, you can bet that crook Bill Snyder is having boosters funnel money to Butler's "foundation." Not surprisingly, Kansas State has gone from completely out of the picture to the front-runner in the Brown sweepstakes, according to some prominent national analysts. Gee, I wonder why that is?
The Ducks should think very hard about the risk/reward of recruiting in the state of Kansas if it means having to deal with this Butler character. There are other states that can be focused on that have good players in them. The potential for program wrecking violations is very real dealing with guys like Butler. Be careful wrestling with a pig....you will both get dirty.
PS: If Brown ultimately ends up at Kansas State and Chris Harper requests a transfer to follow him, as some rumors indicate might happen, I would not grant the transfer. This entire situation is a complete joke and the University of Oregon needs to refuse to play along with their little game. The shenanigans at Kansas State have been going on ever since Snyder retook the reigns, starting with him sending his "reporter"/recruiting surrogate to "interview"/recruit Harper about transferring back home to K-State. If Snyder and his K-State boosters want to "donate"/pay money to Butler & Brown in order to garner their services, fine. Hopefully the NCAA catches them. However, if a current Oregon player gets sucked into this fiasco, the Ducks needs to put their foot down, block their attempts in every way possible and scream from every rooftop for the NCAA to investigate.

yeah, Snyder may sneak right into this race. I don't know if it will be enough. But I think it's more between us and KSU now, than us and Miami.

Re: Butler NY Times Article
Butler is bad news and anyone associated with him is in the same boat. As talented as BB is I hope he goes elsewhere. I feel sanctions coming on somewhere in the future with Butler.
