Interesting that Hawkins wasn't recruited to UO by Frost and that UO coaches had already met him because he is Harold Reynolds nephew and last year he brought him out to Eugene to meet MB and the staff.

Nice video and summation by MB. I get the feeling after hearing him talk about each individual student athlete he was genuinely excited about the kids that we got. I am too, Hawkins is a great athlete, Arden is really long and fast for a DE(kind of a Nick Kasa without all the stars), and Cole really looked good in the short film.
Also you couple the P,K, and Harris as a top special teams returner and we have a solid special teams unit, something that is pivotal in the tight ones!
Braxton Lane is FAAAAAASTTTT too!

Seriously, Jhop. He samll but 190lbs and has lightning speed. He has the perfect dimensions to be a kick returner with his low center of gravity and speed.

I could have heard wrong, but I really like the mention of Cole beating Harris in a track event only to have Harris beat in the state finals (or something like that) Anyway, that spells fast and it seemed like MB is really high on Cole even at 2 stars.

Trevor Fox looked like a stud, and Diante Jackson really looked like Dez Bryant to me. He got off the line fast, then went and got the ball. He didn't just let it come to him. I also liked how Bellotti said that Michael Clay reminded him of Michael Fletcher. I didn't realize he was only 5'11". How about rover?

Yep that was it. I'm really impressed if true, Avery is one of the fastest kids out there. Looks like we got another great sleeper in Cole.

I stand corrected, but love the speed we picked up. Bring on Grant on 2010 and man this team will fly.

Cole seemed so quick and pretty bulky too. His burst just separated him and he took off in all of highlights on youtube. He didn't play in a crap league either. He looks much better then a 2 star guy and it usually took 2-3 guys to tackle him. I think he will turn out to be at least as good as Jeff Maehl and looks to have the physical tools to be even better then Maehl.

That was my thought exactly, "How is this guy a 2*"?! He played in the same league as Diante so we know he was going up against other great players. He had a rediculous burst in his highlights & had great acceleration coming out of his breaks & off cuts. I'm really excited about this guy.

I'll tell you what, anyone who was surprised that we offered Keaton Arden can start eating their words. That kid is crazy fast, probably more of a LB instead of a DE, but I'm glad he's on our team. I was extremely impressed with the talent that we ended up with. Our offensive line is going to be incredible, and our secondary will add some great talent. The next few years are going to be a great time to be a duck fan, with everyone hoppin on the band wagon!!!

Arden seems like a player that was seriously underrated since he had just moved from Arizona to California last year and didn't really attend any of the main camps where he could get noticed. He could be one of the biggest sleepers in this whole class, along with Cole, who looks like a stud in the film clips.
