Bryce Brown visiting Tenn and USC likely

Looks like he will forego his Miami official and check out Tennessee and USC. I'm scared of the Tenn visit, I know Kiffin can recruit, and he's going to run a pro style. I think Bryce gets turned off by the DC at USC. Kid wants to play right away. You going to sit Joe McKnight, Stefan, and co. for the incoming freshman? Petey will tell him that he just won't do it.
Honestly I think it comes down to TENN VS Oregon before it's all said and done.
This was from a radio interview with Bryce.
USC was not a lock for a visit but it really sounds that way.
Radio interview is long....... and they talk about a bunch of Tennessee recruits first, so listen if you want, but it's a lot of blah blah blah.

It's a tiresome recruiting process to say the least with this kid. I have respect for him, but Butler is a real piece.
I've read mention that CK thinks this is the best running back he has ever seen period. Keep in mind he did not have much time with J-Stew, but he's really confident in Bryce's abilities.

Getting BB enrolled at Oregon is the difference between going to the Holiday Bowl or the Rose bowl this season IMHO.

Believe me I want BB as much as the next Duck, but not getting my hopes up. The problem I see with him is he really seems conflicted on several fronts. On the one hand, he seems very conservative in how he approaches all this, esp with his family's Christian background and the fasting, etc. On the flip side, is his relationship with Butler which isn't what you'd typically see from a family of Brown's purported background. BB has also had plenty of time to make a desicion. Despite how much many say he loves Oregon and CK, etc. he is also drawn to the bright lights of places like Los Angeles & Miami. He's very conservative and well spoken in interviews and knows UO would be a great place for him to thrive, not just on the FB field. But the other side he has this odd relationship with this Butler guy which is almost like having an agent.

Could easily see BB choosing the bright lights of UT or USC.

If Oku sticks with his commitment to Tennessee, then I'm not as worried. He'd be stupid to go to USC. I still think it's Miami or us.

I still think we have a decent shot at him. Hopefully he makes the right choice.

I grew up in Tenn., the size and gameday atmosphere alone at UT has some allure to any recruit.
Still hoping BB comes out west, the autzen experience is IMO almost on par with what you get in SEC country..
BTW, my dad is a grad of U Memphis.. I've been giving him crap about the Thompson signing, little lower admission standards.

The football and basketball venues, atmospheres and history are indeed excellent at UT... I was referring to the rest of the town.

But one of the things BB does not like about Miami is the big city. Not much difference between Miami and LA in those regards. Depth Chart as USC, strike one; Big city at USC, strike two. Tennessee on the other hand...

My biggest issue with this Butler guys is that in an article I read it states that Bryce's dad is a business partner with him in these "ventures".

One possible scenario is that Dad is just as shady. Imagine this...Bryce wants to finish this, go to "School A". Dad and Butler are pushing him in a different direction. I truly think this kid has a good head on his shoulders, but when you dad is involved, we all must remembre he is a teenager. If he has strong family values, saying no to dad may be a bigger issue. And in his mind maybe saying no to Butler feels like saying no to dad. Just an idea.
