Why do all of these mediocre recruits want to go to a school like oregon when their are much stronger programs on the up and up such as Washington. Its clear to see the pac-10 powerhouses are shifting, and not in favor of the ducks. Most have called the ducks most recent mild success a "fluke" as they dont look strong in the future. Most of you will agree that the ducks will not by flying high in the years to come.
Wow, I don't even know what to say.
Sorry TK1 I know you banned and locked that thread, I wanna use that to start a thread talking about how blindingly bright the future of Duck football is.
Really?... Really?

Re: Really?... Really?
Ducks are in a strong position to break into this nationally which IMO is a necessity to entrench a program into a consistent challenger. We are not quite there yet. Close, but not over the recruiting hump. Name recognition, reputation for explosive offenses, a serious bid and consistent bid for the PAC10 championship, those are the components to getting the attention of those high end recruits. Although we are getting consideration from a number of players, I do not consider us as having a arrived until those type of players are committing on a consistent basis prior to the bowl games and future recruits are making their statements in their junior year.
If Bellotti were to stick around a couple more years the prospects would be more favorable. Name recognition, reputation for explosive offenses, a serious and consistent bid for the PAC10 championship. Those are the elements which make recruiting easier. Kelly has done a great job, but just imagine what he is capable of producing with a returning starter QB. That is something we have yet to experience yet, and IMO may be the most important element to play out.
So when some clown obviously wants to bait you with a silly statement that we are in a decline when the other programs are gaining, the best response is a Corso…”not so fast my friend”…Ducks are making inroads on a national basis and it’s about time the that the other programs start making improvements in recruiting so they don’t continue to suck.

What a "silly" post. We are goingt downhill??? Yes we are only a #18 poreseason pic for next year, down fom our #9 finish this year but it is way to ealy to say that the Huskies are closing in on Oregon. My guess is we are picked #2 in the conference next year in the preseason polls. With the USC defensive losses and our finaloy having stabilty at QB we shold start stronger and play better on offense.
Offense
Imagine a staring line up at the skill positions next year
Holland Maehl Dickson XXX D. Davis
Harper Blount

Well that total bombed...I was trying to layout the players in a formation. The point was look at all the playmakers at the skilled position.
