 Way too true man. It's gonna be sad when the Knight arena is 1/4 of the way full for every game. Maybe, just maybe, the Athletic Department will start to think about a coaching change.

The only way it would be 1/4 full is all fans were like you but there not and it will be full because we're actual duck fans that love to watch the ducks no matter what sport or how they're doing.

To be fair, the last few duck home games haven't been close to a sellout. That never used to be the case until recently. If people don't want to spend their money on a losing product, I don't blame them. Doesn't mean they don't full support the ducks.

Don't worry about my fanhood. I watch/listen to every game no matter what & always try to make it to a few games each year.
The sad thing is, like you said, the majority of every teams fan base is "fairweather" & if you're not winning they don't care. I'll be going to games, don't worry about me. It's the other fans that will leave the arena empty.

If I lived in Eugene, I'd be going to every duck game regardless of how they play.

Unfortunately, I can't afford the tickets, gas prices, and time to go very many basketball games.

I watch every game I can that is televised here in Utah but I get so upset not that they are losing but because of the way they are playing and being coached that I almost always stop watching. I personally want the team to not win a single game this season in hopes that it forces Kent out. I like what Kent has done with the program but I have said it along with a lot of other people with the fans, talent, facilities, new arena, resources and everything else Oregon has to offer, having a deep tournament run every few years is not good enough and not winning a single conference game when the conference is down as a whole is certainly not acceptable no matter the reason. Any school serious about having a good basketball team would fire their coach regardless of past success. I don't buy the youth and inexperience excuse, no matter how young and inexperienced you are, if you are competitive and coached well, you will win a few games. That is all I expected this year was a few conference wins, I thought the Ducks could finish just below .500 with the talent they have. I just don't see Kent being the catalyst and leader to move this team forward to make it to the next level, and with all of the money paid to him to lead the team and the money being spent on the new arena, a lot of hardcore Duck fans who live in Eugene I believe cannot justify the cost of the tickets to see their team not only lose but not even compete.

PS - Kent loses to the Huskies by 16

Most disappointing team in the country should mean firing the coach. Been in every game besides the Washington State game in the pac-10? Proof that Katz doesn't watch the games, unless he considers being down 15-20 points "in the game".

I like how EK always complains about youth and I am watching Isiah Thomas for WA a "Freshmen" tear about Oregon like little school girls. Usually a coach makes a change to stop something like that but instead a 5 8" guy is dunking all over Oregon's Face.

Nice first half ducks. We should have just forfeited this game. Why does Kent continue to start Catron and Sim? Where are guys like Humphrey and Wiley? What a mess!!!!!

Where has this second half offense been all season long? What a performance by Porter. It's too bad the defense stinks. Nearly 50 free throw attempts for Washington.

I think Oregon should forfeit the rest of the season...... or maybe give the women's team a crack at playing against the men.... they couldn't do any worse, I bet they could maybe even beat the Beavers at least! :? :x
