Bryce Brown's Final Visits
2/17/2009
The nation's #1 player, Bryce Brown has decided!
Where he will be taking his last visits. "I will be going to LSU on an unofficial visit and my final official visit will be to the University of Miami."
The trip to LSU will be Feb. 27-28th. Miami's official visits will be March 3-5th. Bryce talked about what he is looking for in both visits.
LSU-"I want to see the offensive game plan, meet the people and get a feel for the city of Baton Rouge."
Miami-"They'll be in spring ball, so I want to see how the coaches interact with the players at practice and look at how the new offense is coming along. And most importantly spend some time with my brother."
POTENTIAL PLAYERS
Bryce will be signing on Monday, March 16th at the Kansas Hall of Fame.

At least there is no USC. Not sure why he would visit Miami though, especially since that article came out about Miami being out of it unless Brown signed tommorow.

If you post quotations, it's probably a good idea to cite your source.

Well it's good he's using his official on a school that he won't be able to sign with.

He gets a free trip to visit his brother that way.

Don't like it that he's visiting Miami last. Gives him a great chance to mend the fences. Although he may not have an offer on the table by the time he makes that visit.

Agreed, personally I'd rather see him visit USC.GoDuckYourself wrote:Don't like it that he's visiting Miami last. Gives him a great chance to mend the fences. Although he may not have an offer on the table by the time he makes that visit.

Well judging by the recent audio interview, he didn't sound very interested in Miami. I actually prefer him visiting there than USC. LSU is the one I'm kind of worried about.

It really sounds to me like the visit to Miami is a free trip to visit his brother and hopefully nothing more

There is no such thing a free visit. Anytime a recruit officially visits a school, there is definitely interest. This is different situation, but I'm still very worried Miami can go all out for Bryce in his final visit to make him sign with them.alabamaduck wrote:It really sounds to me like the visit to Miami is a free trip to visit his brother and hopefully nothing more

I disagree, there is such thing as a free trip, it's called an official visit. Of course there's interest, that's why he's been a verbal to them for months, but he flat out says in that quote that the main reason he's going is to spend some time with his brother.

Official visits are like the 'free vacations' at a timeshare... You gotta listen to the spiel, no matter how cheesie, to get the the so-called freebie.
And you wouldn't believe how many people get snookered into buying the red herring.

Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

I am still not buying it. His family seems like they want him to go to Miami. And as long as they are pushing him towards there, then this visit could seal the deal if things go that direction.alabamaduck wrote:I disagree, there is such thing as a free trip, it's called an official visit. I'm not saying if he visits Miami, then he's a hurricane. But the visit still concerns me regardless of previous reports.

I'm with you, it could end up being very hard for Brown to walk away from that trip not a Cane if he gets family pressure in any way. Especially if his Brother is tearing it up in Spring Ball while he is there.UOducksTK1 wrote:I am still not buying it. His family seems like they want him to go to Miami. I'm glad he's NOT visiting USC. They get enough publicity. It's our turn. Even if he doesn't end up signing with us, it's been great publicity for future recruiting.UOducksTK1 wrote:Agreed, personally I'd rather see him visit USC.GoDuckYourself wrote:Don't like it that he's visiting Miami last.
