HBO looking into SEC cheating?

Post by maxduck »

Perhaps, according to this writer. http://dev.chuckoliver.net/2011/02/hbo- ... rker-side/

Specifically: former Auburn defensive end Stanley McClover allegedly has admitted that he received cash payments to attend Auburn and that the payments continued during his playing career on the Plains.

Former LSU recruit and Alabama player Chris Keys is also allegedly willing to appear on Real Sports saying he received the same benefits as McClover.

What are the odds it will ever be broadcast?

HBO seems to be the only one without a stake in the SEC's TV contract, so i would hope odds would be pretty high!

Supposedly McClover is now backpedaling on his claims.

Few sources tied to his high school are coming out refuting his claims that he was paid by AU to attend. HBO now wavering on even including the segment in that particular episode.

This is from SBB, so take it with a grain of salt. He is also the same guy who had to re edit his article about the coach from Thibidoux.

Travis Williams(former Auburn player) also said this:

"HBO just interview anybody these days....smh. The truth will come out. I guess when da going gets tough u lie."

This would imply to me that McClover was doing HBO for money. Auburn urged him to go pro early, and he didn't get drafted. I suppose there may be some sour grapes there.

Maybe Auburn offered him a larger check than HBO had. ;)

I'm amazed how many writers have an alleged vendetta against schools in the SEC. Was Ed Bradley in that group?

So true..... Canzano IS a goon though. But hey, that's what happens when a columnist tries to make himself come off as a credible reporter. I probably have more sources inside the Oregon program than he claims to have.....

Whoever this "mr. sec" guy is is claiming Kiffin offered $200k also to Cam while at UT, and he also claim is that Cam was in the room when pops was asking for money. This could be far from over.

And the last line "But if you’re wondering why we at MrSEC.com so often point to the fact that this league is in danger of destroying itself through boosters attacking rival schools… we give you Exhibit A."

Sounds like Tenn fans are starting to get worried about what the NCAA may find about Kiffin's time at UT. Funny, everyone tried to tell UT fans what a bad guy he is and they all defended him on their boards, yet fast forward a to now and they all hate him.

Am I the only person who is completely over this whole Auburn scandal? I just could really care less at this point.

I'm bringing this up because if Kiffen gets in trouble it sounds like SC will can him. Really the Cam thing is just one more thing against him.
