OT: BYU vs SDSU
My first time really watching Jimmer Fredette this season, but am really enjoying what I see out of him. He's not just a good scorer, as he is very adept at setting up his teammates for open shots.

Good game so far, although I tend to think that both of these teams wouldn't be nearly as good in a better conference.

I think so too, but would easily be competitive in the Pac-10 this year. The MWC has some good teams this year, with UNLV also being looked at as a tournament team.duckgrad99 wrote:Good game so far, although I tend to think that both of these teams wouldn't be nearly as good in a better conference.

Agree. The MWC is very good this season. Jimmer is a great offensive player but his ballhandling kind of sucks. He's a little too careless with the ball to play PG at the next level.greenyellow wrote:I think so too, but would easily be competitive in the Pac-10 this year. “If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

He does look like he tries to force things at times but he creates a lot of shots for himself and his teammates by being real aggressive. I think he has so many TOs, though, because of how often he's handling the ball.uostudent wrote:Agree. The MWC is very good this season. Steve Fisher is still a crappy coach. Great recruiter, but San Diego St. is playing Ernie-ball - dribbling the ball around the perimeter and forcing individual players to create their own shots with the clock winding down. SDSU has some serious talent and could probably do some damage in the tourney with a better coach.

But I doubt they could get a better coach, considering their history and resources.uostudent wrote:Steve Fisher is still a crappy coach.
