Tsunami in Japan

Some of those videos are unreal. My heart goes out to Japan and everyone with family there, such a horrible situation.

Just got in touch with my gf finally thank god. She's hunkered down on her 7th floor still but fine. Sad to see a lot of damage to some places I was at a month ago. Hopefully the wave spares Hawaii.

The toll from this may be massive... Especially if one or more of the nuclear facilities goes critical.

The Oregon coast will likely be hit by the first waves soon... This will not be nearly as big as the 7-10 meter waves reported in some parts of Japan, but extreme caution should be used in low elevations along the entire west coast today.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected by this.

My nephew moved his family to the Roseburg/Sutherlin area from Crescent City about 6 months ago... The home they left was walking distance to the beach. The view was fantastic, but our sense of relief, knowing they were safely out of the potential tsunami zone was palpable.
