USC Coach O'Neil incident...

"O'Neill and his wife were in a hotel lobby of the JW Marriott and visibly intoxicated when they exchanged words with a group of Arizona fans. O'Neill reportedly threatened the fan that USC was going to “beat the hell out of Arizona.” Words were exchanged and our sources say that O'Neill's wife struck one of the Arizona fans. O'Neill and his wife were escorted out of the hotel, and Arizona fans were left wondering what just happened."

"The picture below shows O'Neill in the same outfit he wore during the game, so obviously he went straight to the bar. Check out the picture from today's game, which ended at 2 pm."

USC athletic director Pat Haden had this response to reports that there was a post-game incident involving head men's basketball coach Kevin O'Neill today:

"We have received some information tonight about an incident involving coach Kevin O'Neill, his wife and a fan from another school that occurred following our men's basketball game today.

"We are looking into this and gathering facts. We will determine what appropriate action is necessary."

Wouldn't put it past O'Neil getting drunk since he does have that look sometimes of being a drink short of being drunk.

A slightly less biased update from the LA Times

[Update 9:40 a.m.: According to multiple people close to the team, at some time between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Thursday night in the lobby of the JW Marriott hotel at L.A. Live, O'Neill and a longtime Arizona booster, who knew O'Neill from when O'Neill was the team's interim coach in 2007-08 and when he was an assistant coach there in the late 1980s, engaged in a verbal altercation.

Hotel security stepped in and O'Neill's wife, Roberta, engaged in a verbal altercation with the security guard. The two were asked to leave the hotel and they did, heading back to their downtown Los Angeles penthouse.

There is, of course, plenty of bad blood between O'Neill and Arizona. He became the team's interim coach in 2007-08 for longtime Arizona coach Lute Olson, who stepped down because of "personal reasons," and the school publicly designated O'Neill to be the Wildcats' head coach in-waiting. But following a 19-15 season and the school's 24th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, Olson returned and announced that O'Neill would no longer be part of the team. Then Olson permanently retired six months later.]

Coach O'neil should have taken a page out of the Arizona fans book, and just thrown a water bottle at him.

Wow! This is hard to believe. Getting drunk at a hotel bar hours after a game, in a tournament? I can guarantee you that within hours after the conclusion of one game, Altman would be in a room watching film deep into the night, developing a game plan for the next round of the tournament. Isn't that what a coach is supposed to to?

Supposedly but not every coach is as meticulous as Altman is.
