Re: My gut tells me
Not to be negative, but I'll just be glad to get this all over & done with. I'd like to move forward and concentrate on spring ball. I'd love for Brown to join us, but if he doesn't, we'll be fine.

I seriously doubt he goes to LSU. Relationships are important to Bryce (as you know) and I don't think he would have had the time to build any sort of relationship with the LSU coaches. I think that was more of an obligatory visit his parents made him take to be sure of his decision.

if he goes to ut and when we go there in 2010 and we smoke them I hope it makes him regret that choice. especially when he will be a non-factor because they will have to pass because their defense will not be able to stop us.

Well, I just hate to see anyone in life make stupid decisions, and this would be one of them, especially since I've admired what Brown has said all along. I've always thought that Brown was a very intelligent young man, so we'll see what happens tommorow. Maybe failure was too strong of a word, but I will definitely be thinking "I told you so" if problems arise at Tennessee.

The supposed blonde hostess Lacey? The kid is 17, she seems like as good of a reason as any to me. Am I the only one that prioritised attractive girls over common sense at that age? Besides they were already "married" on facebook, basically makes it a family.

That I'll agree with. I am for sure speculating, but knowing what we know about Kiffin and seeing that blonde girl with BB the entire time he was there makes it seem like the UT was nothing more than a booty callduckgrad99 wrote:Tray Dub wrote:Why? Re: My gut tells me
If he goes to UT there will definitely be sour grapes. With how much of an idiot their coach is, how everyone but Bryce seems to see it, it would be incredibly dissapointing. After the "great relationship" he's had with Chip to, in 2 weeks, forget all about it & choose a different school because of the Strength & Conditioning coach?! Seems like there is something else factoring into his desicion, like a random blonde co-ed
There will definitely be a loss of respect.

Traydub, that to me makes a lot more sense than the arguement that he was going back to rule out his second place team like some have posted earlier. Still might be wishfull thinking though.

Re: My gut tells me
I think we need to realize that the comment was a mere snippet of a long interview with Bryce. Just because it's all we've been exposed to does not mean it's the only factor that played into his decision. The fact that he didn't mention Kelly shouldn't set off any alarms for Oregon fans. No way in hell would Crabtree say that Bryce's close relationship with Kelly was the primary reason for his choice. Obviously, Bryce's decision had just as much to do with the HC's and OC's and potential teammates and whatnot as it did with RB coaches and strength and conditioning programs.
We all know Campbell is one of the top RB coaches in the country, and the same is well known about our strength & conditioning program under coach Radcliffe. What's unknown, is Bryce's relationship with Coach Campbell.
That said, if we were to take those comments alone and tried to make a prediction based on just that, I'd say LSU.
Bryce's lead recruiter for LSU was RB Coach Larry Porter, and their strength and conditioning program is considered to be one of the very best in the nation under coach Tommy Moffitt. Porter was named Rivals' 2007 recruiter of the year. The lead recruiter for Tennessee was the OC, Chaney. So you'd think they'd be in the same boat as us as far as Crabtree's comment goes.
Anybody who rules us out based on that comment from Crabtree ought to rule out Tennessee as well. It makes no sense to read that and suddenly think he's all Vol.

If Brown goes with UT tomorrow. I could still see him ending up at Oregon.
