We would surely be able to put some weight on him by the time he would actually play though. You would think that he would be a sure fire Redshirt.

Considering Kiffin sent Boyd packing, I find it surprising that Tennessee is offering him, unless as something other than a QB...

I don't think undersized is an issue, but he is listed at 167 pounds, which is an issue haha.

That's pretty darn skinny.
Yeah but it would be pretty easy to get him up to weight. He's never gonna be the 220 that Masoli is but with 1-2 years in a weight program he could definitely get up to 5'11 195. That's pretty solid.

Another thing to remember is this kid is still a JR in HS, by this time next year he could have grown another 2-3 inches & put on 15-20 lbs.

I don't know, Dixon and Roper never bulked up.. ;)

I'm sure this kid will be fine, lock him up and add a Walker, Bolden, or Leal type player and I'd be very happy with the QBs from this class.

I don't believe Leal has an official offer.

I don't think the coaches are very high on Leal, he is a backup plan. Look for Stephen Morris from Miami Pace to get some looks in the spring when coaches head to south florida. He is 6'2 185 and has a cannon. Very good baseball player too.
