Looking at that video has got to have Duck fans licking their chops in anticipation... A bruising who has the hands to play receiver?
This kid looks as if he could become a combination of Snoop and JJ!

You gotta lower your expectations a little bit...those are two very special backs...He will be great but I mean the only person who's a combination of those two is LTwoundedknees wrote:Looking at that video has got to have Duck fans licking their chops in anticipation... Actually, I dissagree WK. I think he's more of a Mo/Droughns type back.woundedknees wrote:Looking at that video has got to have Duck fans licking their chops in anticipation... A bruising who has the hands to play receiver?

His natural athletics of size, speed and power remind me more of Reuben Droughns than JS (Snoop was faster and more powerful than Reuben).
But, his running style, vision (this kid has awesome vision), and desire to make the play (heart) are much like Maurice Morris, not JJ.
ML doesn't have great speed, but he has good speed, and the size, strength, and vision to make up for that lack of top end break-away quickness. And his heart is there, you can tell, he's like Seabiscuit, he just WILLS himself to get into the endzone.

Actually, in a few of his videos, it looks as if his running style is kind of a skating like - low strides too and fro - gliding if you will thru traffic (or over it). Herschel Walker used to run like that. That style works well if you have the physicality to pull it off. He seems to. Let me just say this, "I'll take em"

Re: Per Scout, Lattimore Offered
I was very, very impressed by his movement in traffic. Like many good or great backs he doesn't seem to get hit cleanly, and so he breaks a lot of arm and half tackles. I also think he looks like a wideout when he is running his routes.

Very close to J-Stew. Powerful, downhill runner, yet elusive enough. OUTSTANDING HANDS for a RB. Very complete back that can handle a huge workload and play in virtually any offense. Also a very humble young man, that is cool headed and a great team leader. You would never know this kid is a star by talking to him, he's grounded, but also knows he's capable of great things with hard work. Very good person in his community as well. Would be a welcome member to the Duck family.

Re: Per Scout, Lattimore Offered
I bet it will depend on if the Ducks have a great season, and continue to be a top 5 team in overall rushing. If we do that, ML would have no reason not to come here....

Re: Per Scout, Lattimore Offered
Apparently Lattimore has a visit to Oregon planned for the USC game...

"My final five are Oregon, Penn State, UNC, Auburn and South Carolina," said Marcus Lattimore. "I will not change this list again. I am taking my official visit to Oregon October 31, and I have a visit set to Penn State October 10. I will take my other visits after the season."
"I plan on dealing with recruiting after the season. I am focused on helping my team win the state championship. I chose those five schools because they are the ones I feel the most comfortable with."

Awesome game to come to Autzen for, place will be rocking. And is he seriously visiting Penn State when they play Eastern Illinois, or do my eyes deceive me?woundedknees wrote:Apparently Lattimore has a visit to Oregon planned for the USC game...
