Based on the NCAA recruiting schedule, there's a one day "Quiet Period" that allows for an official or unofficial visit. This is basically what they'll try to use to get him up here. It's not until Monday through Thursday that the "Dead Period" begins and ends.

My big question is why did he wait so long until deciding he wanted to visit Oregon? Is it because the staff only made progress in the last couple weeks or was he afraid he'd lose his spot at Miami?

That would be a crazy final haul. Artis, DJ, Falo and Johnson. Don't see how we would get Blades without tripping him. But those 4 along with Lenoir would make for a crazy signing day haul by itself. Let alone adding:

- Bechton, OL (Big Ifff,,,,)
- Moore, OL
- Speed, DB
- Kamilo Tongamoa, DL
- Davis, WR
- Faliniko, LB/Safety

Not sure we can add all these guys those guys.

Bechton - Seen absolutely nothing indicating he's coming here
Blades - Seen nothing that would indicate he isn't going to Nebraska
Speed - Some smoke here with Alabama ditching him.
Thompson - Apparently a Utah lean, based upon our pursuit of other WR's seems less probable.
DJ Johnson - All comes down to a visit. If he visits, than it looks highly probable. Hes committed to Miami which is worlds away from Sacramento.

If Johnson doesn't get up here today, I don't really like our chances, but Scott and McNeal committed happily without visiting so who knows. Miami IS a long way from Sacramento, hopefully we can snag him. Would be an unreal get.

I wish it was both.
That said, if we get DJ Johnson and Artis, not sure we'll have room. I think Tongamoa only has 2-to play 2 instead of 3 to play 2(not positive about this.) Of course, DJ Johnson is a big if and Artis is still a bit unknown....
