Re: 2025 NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread
The Big 10 is doing well so far, although still just holding serve in the first round vs lower seeds. The second round is when you find out how good your conference is. I think Indiana should have been in rather than one of the myriad of lower-tier SEC teams. Besides the egregious Missouri loss, 11-seed Texas lost to 11-seed Xavier, and 8-seed Miss St lost to 9-seed Baylor. with only 10-seed Arkansas beating a higher 7-seed Kansas. Maybe it's just arguing about who should have the right to be 1st round fodder for a higher seed, but the favoritism was pretty clear, and the SEC also pretty clearly didn't deserve it - not exactly blowing anyone away so far with their conference success. Hopefully the committee does a better job of conference distribution in the future.

Ducks start out ahead 18-2. They are definitely losing this one.

Well, 44-20 at half, so I guess it's okay.

Am I safe to get tix for the Wildcats or should i bank on the late price drop right before the game? Tix are about 200 with fees right now.

Big 10 now has as many teams in the tournament as the SEC. SEC still has better seeding, but we'll see how the teams do from here. 8-0 is pretty impressive, even with the seeding advantage across the board.

Re: 2025 NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread
Well, seeds 13-16 (16 teams) are filled almost entirely with schools from smaller conferences, so the first round is filled with better-seeded big-conference schools womping on auto-bids. Half the teams left are from either the SEC or Big 10 though, so lots of matches upcoming. I suspect that was the design all along.

Big Ten with their first loss as Wisconsin can't complete the comeback against BYU.
Gonzaga fails to make it out of the first weekend for the first time in over a decade. This was easily the least talented team Few has had in awhile so it's not too surprising.

Not to throw dirt on UCLA too soon, but conference records assuming Tennessee holds on:
ACC: 2-3
Big East: 5-4
Big Ten: 10-2
Big 12: 9-1
Mountain West: 2-2
South directional: 11-7
WCC: 2-1
Three conferences have one team left - ACC/Duke, Big East/UConn, and WCC/St Mary's.

Re: 2025 NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread
Maryland saved the Big Ten's skin a little bit, especially with New Mexico opening a double-digit lead on Michigan State and Oregon the underdog against Arizona.
South [Fill In What Works For You] Conference has punched 6 tickets to the Sweet 16, with Ole Miss eyeing a 7th.
Big Ten has punched 3, with two still to be decided.
