Gabriel is getting the start this weekend, so we may have 4 duck QB’s starting on the same day. We will also have Herbert vs Marcus, another Duck QB showdown.

Sounds like Jayden Daniels will probably be back in the starting lineup against the Chargers.OregonFan4Life wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 2:12 pm Gabriel is getting the start this weekend, so we may have 4 duck QB’s starting on the same day. We will also have Herbert vs Marcus, another Duck QB showdown.

Dillon Gabriel with 2 TDs in his first start.
Bo Nix found Troy Franklin for the 2-point conversion that gave Denver the lead and win over the Eagles.

I didn't watch the game, but sounds like he played solid? Lots of check downs and short passes, but that's expected.

I watched most of the second half and Gabriel was sailing the ball over everyone's heads on several passes down the stretch. The TD was nice but overall he wasn't throwing very accurately. I was thinking it might just be nerves, so hopefully he can calm down with more playing time.

Flacco to Bengals. Gabriel has a real opportunity here.

So funny how the dominoes fell from draft day when everyone was dogging DG to now he is the starter. He kept his head down, ignored the nonsense, and it seems like his team and management are behind him now. I don't know how he will do, but I am glad he is getting his shot.

It was very similar with Nix!Phalanx wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 12:47 pmSo funny how the dominoes fell from draft day when everyone was dogging DG to now he is the starter. I haven't seen anything from the game, but my understanding was that Gabriel struggled with anything past 10 yards, and checked down a lot. That could be rookie jitters, but this could also be an attempt by the Browns to truly tank this season in hopes of snagging a qb with the first pick next draftPhalanx wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 12:47 pmSo funny how the dominoes fell from draft day when everyone was dogging DG to now he is the starter. Yeah, I can definitely see that as a possibility. In any case, DG is getting a look and hopefully he makes the most of it.squintsdd wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 3:38 pmI haven't seen anything from the game, but my understanding was that Gabriel struggled with anything past 10 yards, and checked down a lot. Dillon Gabriel: 13/18, 116 yards, Won 31-6
Justin Herbert: 37/55, 420 yards, Lost 24-38
Bo Nix: 27/50, 279 yards, Won 33-32, 279 yards, Won 33-32
Marcus Mariota (in after Daniels injury): 4/10, 63 yards, Lost 22-44
DeForest Buckner's sack of Herbert was on the biggest plays in the game as it looked like the Chargers might mount a comeback.

Terrible first halfs for Herbert and Nix, but they went bonkers in the 2nd half. Bo Nix helped Broncos score 24 points in last 5 minutes.StevensTechU wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 6:31 pm Dillon Gabriel: 13/18, 116 yards, Won 31-6
