I generally agree with OF4L's sentiments above regarding Lanning having to fly out to see Seaton. At the same time, l figure that Lanning would only do this if he felt he had a reasonable shot.

I guess the fact that Seaton didn't sign up for LSU classes this week is a lean in the right direction for Oregon.

The last one's in - Luke Moga to New Mexico. I believe he'll compete with Portland-area product Jack Layne for the starting spot.

The landing spots of the transfer qb seem to point to the backup job was really won by the PWO.

I think it's more of the opposite in terms of causality. The new school isn't going to have great information to go on, so they may be looking at where he was on the depth chart and going from there.

There's bigger fish to fry that are ready to plug in and play. Look at the final four teams, all four guys had started for multiple years and had a lot of experience (I know Dante only started for one year but his case was more exceptional).

No big school is gonna get a 3 star guy with no experience when there's so many better options. So it's also just the product of the NIL / Transfer Portal era. If this was 5 years ago, I could see bigger schools swooping in and grabbing Moga/Novosad.

Well, the proof will be in the pudding with how they perform with their new team.

Things have been quiet with Seaton, still seems like nobody has any idea who the front runner is. He is schedule to take a trip to Maryland this weekend.

Oh well, would’ve been nice to have, but figured since he never came to Eugene. Good land Kiffin and LSU. We’ll be fine without him.

All kinds of red flags around this kid. Its understandable, he's young, but I am thinking I am glad he is not coming to Oregon. Becoming part of the culture is of no interest to him, just show him the check. Good luck to you sir.

Not sad to read that. Same character as when coming out of high school. The team culture will most likely be better this way.

Feels like Oregon is basically done with the portal, save for maybe adding the Weber State RB. The portal haul for Oregon this cycle has been underwhelming outside of Perich, Olesh and maybe Raiola. OL is going to be the biggest question mark throughout spring and fall camp.

I think the O-Line will be good, barring injuries.

It's the early schedule that's a bit concerning to me. We open with Boise State at home, then travel to a rebuilding Oklahoma State team. Their coach was at Tulane last year and brought a lot of players to Stillwater with him, including the QB. I'm not saying that we should be on upset alert, but BSU has always been a thorn in our side and OSU should be more competitive than last year.

I like the fact that we're not scheduling all cupcakes, but I do hope we can get some early playing time for the young guys.
