HAHA... something about this comment cracks me up...karlhungis wrote:http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=4161962fecta23 wrote:Quackles wrote:glazeduck wrote:
Somebody mentioned that he's best friends w/ some really highly touted RB in next years class.
That RB wouldn't happen to be James Wilder, Jr. would it? Whilst looking for video on Dungy I noticed that kid and was pretty impressed by him. A 6'3 220lb RB?
Wilder Jr is the front runner for the number one player in the nation according to rivals.
Scout profile. Guy is listed as a DE on scout. Either way, if landing Dungy helps us land Wilder... I say go for it.
If getting the son (who apparently has lots of upside, has been coming on strong lately, and comes from a recruiting hotbed) of an amazing coach/person (who helped us out a ton this year) helps us get an elite player next year... Then cool.
Hell yeah cool!

Cool to land a 2* WR with reported "upside".
Cool to land him because his dad had a chat with Blount?
Cool to land him because he is from a state that we are trying to build a recruiting pipeline in, and he has a high profile father?
Cool to land him because he is friends with a big time recruit for next year?
How about all of the above? Do you honestly think we would be jumping for joy if this kid was from Medford and had no ties to anyone that would benefit the program?

Granted that's all hearsay as of right now since we don't even know for sure if he is good friends with Wilder.

Obviously all of the above...if recruiting someone now helps us land the best next year...it's a 2 in 1 deal!karlhungis wrote:So, where are you drawing the line?glazeduck wrote:HAHA... something about this comment cracks me up...karlhungis wrote:http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=8&c=1&nid=4161962fecta23 wrote:Quackles wrote:glazeduck wrote:

Eric Dungy, if someone's earlier report was accurate, is a late bloomer, with NFL bloodlines. That reminds me of Clay Matthews, so if some of our other offers fall throw I would really have no problem taking him on.
