So last game at Stanford, Oregon employed a game plan to take advantage of Camaron Brink's history of occasionally getting into foul trouble. They went right at her. In the first quarter they took only 1 three point shot out of 16 attempts. On paper it was a valid strategy for a big underdog to employ. but it failed spectacularly. Oregon shot 12% for the quarter. Brink didn't get in foul trouble and actually ended up playing more minutes than usual while blocking 10 shots, scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds.
Pao Pao and Rogers only scored 11 points combined in the game.
It will be interesting to see what the game plan will be this time.

Score more points than Stanford some how! We need at least 3 of the ladies to have a good game shooting and Philly needs to get pissed off and actually throw her weight around. Who cares if she fouls out? It's ABOUT TIME our opponents knew the key is protected territory instead of a welcome mat.GrandpaDuck wrote:So last game at Stanford, Oregon employed a game plan to take advantage of Camaron Brink's history of occasionally getting into foul trouble. South Carolina is like us the year they cancelled. No one will beat them. Stanford is likely a final 4 team. If we could get some offense other than PaoPao and Rogers we could be a surprise team in NCAA.

Hanson was a huge disappointment this tournament. This is the time of the year you expect a highly experienced, hard-nosed senior to rise up and make a difference. Part of the reason this team has not lived up to expectations is the fact she hasn't lived up to expectations. As for Hurst, another highly experienced senior with no excuses, she has been one of the most incompetent players during conference play that I have ever seen. For her own well being, please refer her to a psychologist immediately.

Whatever happens from here on out, Graves desperately needs either new assistants or a new practice routine because these players just haven't shot well since our core group left.
