Well he said he is able to long snap. If they plan to redshirt him, I'm sure they'll have someone else do the long snaps. It would stink if we burned Clay's redshirt just so he could do long snaps.

Half-Mexican...WOOO! It's always nice to have more players with Mexican heritage in football.

But anyways, he seems like a good kid. I hope he makes an impact with the Ducks. He was named one of Rivals' 5 Super Sleeprs.

It makes him that more valuable on special teams. Imagine him on punt coverage. His 4.6 40 speed would really help there. ST are where younger players can showcase themselves and get noticed by their specialty coach. I think Clay will be a valuable contributor by his SO year as he'll probably RS and play some during his RS FS year.

As a Bellarmine alum I am so excited to see Clay choose the ducks. From all I have read and heard he is going to be one heck of a player. The coach who has been there for over 20 years said that Clay is the best athlete who has ever played at Bellarmine, which is quite a compliment. I can't wait to see him play over the next 4-5 years.

What's funny is that when I think of a sleeper, I think of someone who was maybe a 1 or 2 star with not many offers. Maybe someone like Hawkins. Clay was offered by Cal and Colorado among others, and was ranked as the #14 WLB by scout.
